Introducing AES256 Encryption

We have some exciting news for our users! From now on, all your Linkinize Bookmark information will be encrypted using AES-256, the most secure form of encryption available today. This means that your data is protected from unauthorized access, even if someone manages to hack our servers or intercept your network traffic.

But what is AES-256 encryption, and how does it work? AES stands for Advanced Encryption Standard, and it’s a symmetric block cipher that uses the same key to encrypt and decrypt your data. AES-256 uses a 256-bit key, which is equivalent to 2^256 possible combinations. That’s a huge number that would take billions of years to crack by brute force, even with the most powerful computers. AES-256 is also resistant to various types of attacks, such as related-key attacks and biclique attacks. AES-256 is widely adopted by governments, banks, and security experts as the gold standard for data encryption.

AES-256 works by dividing your data into blocks of 128 bits, and then applying a series of mathematical operations called rounds. Each round consists of four steps: substitution, permutation, mixing, and adding. These steps transform the data in a way that makes it impossible to recover the original data without the key. AES-256 performs 14 rounds of encryption, ensuring that the output is completely random and indistinguishable from noise.

By encrypting your bookmark information with AES-256 at Linkinize, we are ensuring that your privacy and security are our top priorities. You can rest assured that your data is safe with us, and that no one can access it without your permission. We hope you enjoy this new feature, and we thank you for choosing our bookmark manager application!
